Hi, everyone. I have learned that to convert a References-ribbon generated Word bibliography to static text, you select the text and use the keyboard shortcut of CTRL+SHIFT+F9. This works great on my desktop machine. However, on my laptop, my keys are configured (by the manufacturer) to need the fn key depressed before firing the function key functions; otherwise, the function keys perform commands such as increasing speaker volume, putting the computer to sleep, etc.

Using the shortcut of CTRL+SHIFT+fn+F9 does not convert to static text. I cannot find this command on any ribbon or dialog. Is there another method to convert this text?

Thanks for any help or direction you can provide.

You can add the relevant command to your Quick Access Toolbar. The command is called “Unlink Fields”

Thanks!! It works! (Adding that command also indicated an alternative shortcut of CTRL+6).

Much appreciation coming your way! 🙂
