• Converting old Powerpoint Files

In the process of tidying up my hard drive (everyone does this don’t they?) I came across some old Powerpoint files created in 1994 on PowerPoint 4.0. Whilst they are not essential to my life they bought back some memories & I’d like to view them again and possibly re-use them but needless to say PPT 7 will not open them. I did some web searching and found a Microsoft article, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/113143/EN-US which provided a download which should to the trick. However running the program to convert the files just gave me a message saying unable to convert the files. Anyone got any ideas? Be grateful

As a follow on from my first post to which there were sadly no replies I was looking for something else and came across a Microsoft Office 95 CD. So my new question is as can I install PowerPoint 95 from this without giving either Windows 7 or MS Office 7 hysterics? Your advice appreciated.

I would never install an older version AFTER a newer on. Either use a virtual PC or uninstall 2007 , add 95 and the reinstall 2007
