Copy Chart Formatting (2003 SP1)

I have a bunch of spreadsheets with charts in them. The problem is that the charts are all of differing formats and I need to make them conform to a standard. I want to standardize the Marker (Style/Foreground/Background) and Line (Style/Color/Weight). I have been doing this by hand for six lines per chart.

Is there a way to do something on the order of format painter to make all of the charts consistent?

Format one chart the way you want.
With the chart selected, choose Chart | Chart Type…
Activate the Custom Types tab.
Click on User Defined.
Click on Add…
Specify a name and optionally a description, then click OK.
You can now apply the formatting to other charts using Chart | Chart Type…
