On trying to copy and paste multiple cells l appear to be getting an error messgae, see attachement.

I have tried various methods to do this but no luck,i.e using shift.
I was told this in a previous posting.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I presume (you do not show the row numbers) that the list has hidden rows or is filtered. This makes multiple selections.

If some of the rows (or columns) in your spreadsheet are hidden, and you then select a range that includes some of the hidden cells, you’re actually selecting the visible cells only. That means that there’s a gap between the beginning of your selection and the end; as a result, you’ve selected more than one continuous area – a multiple selection.
