I am trying to understand how the This folder, visible to everyone, this folder, visible only to me and all mail and post folders differ from one another and how they are supposed to be implemented. The second one, visible only to me seems clear enough but I don’t know the significance of the other 2. Any help/explanation would be appreciated. thanks,

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 14, 2007 at 6:17 pm #1075588As far as I can tell:
– first option means that this view will show to any permitted viewer, in only the speciifed folder – other Viewers with Permissions to View the Folder will see the Custom View in the Folder
– the second option means that the Outlook Client with this view installed will show it only to the logged-in user who created it, in only the specified folder – other Viewers with Permissions to View the Folder will not see the Custom View
– the third option means that Outlook will allow this view to be used in any Mail folder (or Post folder in Public Folders) by any viewer (who would usually have Default View Permissions)
There sure isn’t much documentation on those settings.
