I’m trying to create a form and I’d like to have letters and characters, such as Name:, etc. that appear on the form to guide users, but don’t print.

I can make lines in the table appear on the screen but not print, but I don’t know how to do this with letters and characters.

Can anyone tell me how to create these characters?

    Thanks

    Neal

If you use form fields from the Forms toolbar and protect the document for forms, you can tick the check box “Print data only for forms” in the Print tab of Tools | Options…
Word will only print the contents of the form fields, and omit everything else from the printed output.

        Perfect!

That’s exactly what I was looking for.

        You’ve done it again.

        Thank you.
