I don’t know whether I even have the term “frames” correct here. What I mean is:

I want to have a Links page on my website where readers can click on various links to other sites, but with the result that the links bring up those site pages in their own frame, so that the reader does not “escape” from my site. When they’ve finished reading the link page, they would click on the cross in the top right corner and be back on the Links page of my site.

Step by step advice gratefully accepted.

    Cheers

Hmmm, there are two possible things here. First, you can launch links in a new window that opens in front of your site. This is accomplished by adding the following target to your links (FP has this in its dialog for the link properties): target=”_blank”

Second, there are framesets like the ones used by About.com, where you try to go to an external link and a “banner” of sorts remains above the third party page. This is definitely more work to put together, and if the window is closed using the X, the user will not necessarily return to your site.

To the rescue yet again! Your first suggestion is exactly what I was after – works a treat. Thanks a lot, as always.
