Is there a way to change the shape/size of the cursors when Bold is on?

(I like to work in Full Screen and would rather not have to copy the Bold button onto a Toolbar to determine the status of Bold.)

    Thank you.

have you looked into using vba or vb to create a com addin?
but can’t you tell if you type and it shows as bold? what about making a toolbar with only bold on it and having it float?

Thank you for your response. And, yes, I can tell when text is bold — however, when I type from a document, I often don

ahhh… someone who went to the same typing school as i did.
there is not any built in way, like with the italic cursor. it’s not the cursor but the position of the cursor that changes on italics. (bad explanation)
a com addin is a VB or VBA program that you create to do things in word that MS left out or to automate things they did think of. they are basically macros but compiled for faster access.

Just a thought, but if you’re going the com add-in route, maybe try to find one that gives you an audio cue since you’re looking at your copy and not your screen.

Karen – Clever thinking. Now if I think of generic title for such an addin so I can hunt one down. (What is the ‘com’ in addin???)

Thanks again for your suggestion, ACM
