My first Access 97 project using security…
I have user and group security defined. When a user tries to run a report or access a table that their group doesn’t have rights to, I’d like to display a custom message box. Right now, it displays the message “There was an error executing the command.” This isn’t on any error lists I can find. When I try to capture an error number using the report’s OnError event, I can’t even display a message box; it’s like the OnError event isn’t triggered. The same message box displays using the form’s OnOpen event.

    Any guidance is much appreciated!
