• Customizing button images (PPT 2003)

In Word & Excel 2003, I can customize button images OK (Tools, Customize, right click the button in question and select the various options).

In PPT 2003, I’m trying to add a Delete Slide button and either put the trashcan on it or a slide with a cross through it. Whichever I try, as soon as I Close the Customize dialog box, the edited button image disappears and I’m left with either a blank button, or one that just says Delete Slide on it, depending on the button style I select.

Can anyone help me understand and correct this so it works like Word & Excel?

    Thanks…Neil

Happens here, too, although other customized items are fine with the trashcan or other icons. I suspect it’s a bug.

Hi Neil: welcome to the lounge.

It works okay in my copy of PPt 2002 – not much consolation to you, I guess, unless you have access to the earlier version?

      Tony.
