I am designing a data base which, for me, is somewhat complicated. It looks like the problem could be divided up into three loosely related, smaller problems. These smaller problems will have to be related eventually.

Is it good practice, or even feasible, to develop three separate data bases, and then link tables/queries in order to develop final summary information?

It’s hard to say without knowing any specifics, but I’d tend to store the tables in a single backend, so that they can easily be combined in queries. You could create different frontends for the subproblems.

I had not thought of that. I will give it a try with all tables in one back-end, and the separate problems in different front-ends. Thanks.
