I just ran a Defender offline scan and I have to say that MS should make it easier to find the results!! Maybe this belongs in the rant forum. I had to search online to find out how to get the results – apparently there are a few ways.

The MS documentation says the result is in Virus & Threat protection, but I could find no indication of the offline scan or any results.  Perhaps no news is good news! One internet post said to go the event log, but I couldn’t find it.  Another said to go to C:Windows\Microsoft Antimalware\Support which is where I found a bunch of log files, most of which had obscure text that is illegible to me – but I scrolled through and found this:  2022/03/15 13:53 CALLBACK: Scan complete. threat count = 0

Hardly something I could figure out and certainly not user-friendly or easy for anyone who is not technical. Can’t MS make it easier to find these results!!??? Is it in Virus & Threat protection but I missed it?  (i’m happy to see 0 threats found!!)
