Delete attachments (6.0)

Any suggestions about a method or program to remove in an easy manner (other than via the Desktop) attachments from the e-mail message! I have in my Sent Items box and other folders hundreds of messages with similar content and exactly the same attachment. The core of the messages I want to keep for follow-up, but do not need the identical attachments which only eat up space on my harddisk.

You say “(other than the desktop)”. I assume then that you have read this article . While time consuming, this method does work. Another alternative is to Forward the message to yourself. Before sending, right click on the attachment and “Remove”. You will receive the message without the attachment and the original can then be deleted. Again, not a very elegant method but it too works. Outlook has the remove function built in – i.e. right click on the attachment and “remove”. The message can then be saved attachment free, but with OE, I don’t know of any other ways to do this.
