What is a good program I can use to detect Trojans or other malware that seeks to find out my passwords, etc.

Thank you for any guidance you can give me on this. ๐Ÿ™‚

MalwareBytes is one program highly recommended here. The free and Pro versions are here https://www.malwarebytes.org/.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) would be a good start.

MBAM is a scanner for after the horse has bolted and your AV program has let you down.

HitmanPro Alert is more preventative and is a program I use.

MBAM Premium https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/premium/ has features that are similar to Hitman Pro.

Yep, MBAM Premium constantly watches for trouble.

Don’t know about MBAM Premium – just have the free version and HitmanPro Alert is also a free program – not to be confused with HitmanPro the AV program..

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with ALL updates (except Bing)
CCleaner
Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit
Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Microsoft Security Essentials
Secunia PSI
SpywareBlaster
Windows Firewall
WinPatrol
I think that’s it.

Works for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

While I have CCleaner installed, I’ve never considered it as protection against any form of malware.

I get by in my Win 7 x64 HP with –

Norton 360
MBAM (free edition)
SuperAntiSpyware (free edition)
Hitmanpro Alert
Norton Power Eraser – although it is now included in Norton 360.
Me – and I’ve never been infected.

Norton 360 disables Windows Firewall on installation and I got sick of the dog popping up with WinPatrol, so dumped it.

I agree, Malwarebytes is a great FREE EDITION program. I got it, and I run ever day. Thanks, Chuck , I do recommend going directly to Malwarebytes site.

MBAM Premium advantages include scheduling scans & updates; invoking the two realtime protection modules, malware & website stuff. SuperAntispyware, both free and fee, is another good 2nd opinion, backup scan plan.
