    HI

I have been using an Excel workbook for ages with Macros Digitally signed and added to the Trusted Sources without any problem.

I recently copied this sheet into another workbook to keep similar data together etc, and also copied over the macros, forms etc.
Now when I try and save this workbook it tells me the format doesn’t support digital signatures and prompts me to remove them. I cannot save the workbook until I remove the digital signature, and so am faced with clicking ‘Enable Macros’ every time I open the workbook

I went into security in the Excel App and added the Dig Sig to the Trusted sources, and it prompts me that I have to save the workbook as it is not in the correct format… it does this, but then it says I have to remove the Dig Sig beofre it can be saved still.

    Corrupted file?

Once you have a digital signature in place, it will continue fine into other profiles provided you don’t alter the code etc in the file. If you migrate into another installation and you end up having to tinker with the file, then you have to go back and create a new DigSig and apply that one.

Not sure about the “format” message, though.

        Thanks,

I have tried creating a new digital sig and doesnt seem to work

        i get this message:

In the end I copied all the sheets one by one into a new workbook, and imported the macros into that. Signed and saved no problems. Must have been some kind of corruption in the file.
