Is there a way to set one of the hard buttons to the digitizer, so that when your palm loses it, you do not have to guess where on the screen to tap, but can just push the button and get the digitizer.

Patch reliability is unclear, but widespread attacks make patching prudent. Go ahead and patch, but watch out for potential problems. |

AskWoody LoungerNovember 19, 2002 at 2:51 pm #632829The short answer is no. Try running this pre-done search for “digitizer” at Palmgear.com – there are a number of useful add-ons to help with your digitizer problem. Some allow for the digitizer to at least be run from the applications menu rather than having to navigate through to the preferences applet and so on, and some do much more. Hope that helps.

AskWoody LoungerNovember 21, 2002 at 11:58 pm #633666A friend’s Palm Vx lost the ability to re-calibrate using the digitizer. The function was lost completely in the Preferences area. Only Set Time was available. This morning I went surfing the Net and found the following piece of freeware. It resolved the digitizer issue by using the soft reset approach. Now any time he loses the digitizer, a simple use of the soft reset brings everything back in focus.
The site is… http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/z-digitizer.shtml%5B/url%5D
Hope this helps…
Cheers,
Bob
