Is there any other way to disable the Wake on LAN function on a 3Com 3C905C-TX NIC other than by turning it off in CMOS? I’ve done this but it creates other problems so I would like to do it some other way – if possible.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerNovember 25, 2002 at 12:34 pm #634319I think there is a small set of wires running from the main board, to the NIC for this purpose. Simply pulling this cable out will do the trick.
Of course, make sure when you pull the set of wires out, they’re coming from the WLAN slot on the card.
I’ve seen these wires coloured GREEN/YELLOW/BLACK, and RED/WHITE/BLACK.
