We are having a problem with tasks, resource names, data in text fields, etc. disappearing. For example, we had one schedule that all of the resources disappeared from the resource sheet. All of the other information was still there (initials, group info, etc). We have had another schedule that the data in Text Field 9 disappeared. And yet another schedule that the tasks have started disappearing. All of the plus and minus symbols are still there, the baseline, schedule and actuals are still there, but the task names have disappeared. We have just upgraded to MSP 2002 and that is when the problem started. Does anyone know anything about this? Some of the schedules were created in 98 and others in 2002. Help!

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 27, 2003 at 5:06 pm #657147So what you are saying is that you appear to be having problems when you open the files in Project 2002. Suggest you try the following.
For Project 98 or 2000 files that are giving you problems, try opening the project files using the same project version and then saving the file as a project database and try opening the project database in 2002.
It sounds more like an install problem to me. Suggest you go to the Microsoft Knowledgebase and ensure all updates and patches are installed for 2002 and look there for solutions.
What version of windows are you using?
Good Luck.
