Hi,
(Win XP). I’ve got lots (far, way too much) of disk space consumed by left over service pack files as well as temp files and others.
I just let the ms_auto_updates install service pack 3. (which likely added on yet even more leftovers).
I want to gather up any and all unneeded files and then choose to move them all to a folder where I can then copy them all across my network to a more powerful computer where I can then zip them up and burn them to DVD with their paths intact.
Thus, in the event that any of ’em become needed, (I have ’em archived on DVD).
IOW, I want to do a “towards the aggressive” disk cleanup and also have protection until it is known that I don’t need anything from archive.
So, is there a serious cleaner utility with an option to move or copy rather than to just delete?
Or, otherwise, how to do a very serious and safe removal of copious amounts of disk hog junk?
Thank you.
