    I have
    InterviewLevel_____InterviewDate___LastStatusDate
    Phone_________________1/1/2008_____1/15/2008
    Personal_______________1/15/2008____1/15/2008

I need to hide 1/15/2008 for InterviewLevel Phone because if interview took a second stage – this is where LastStatusDate should be displayed, not at Phone but at Personal.
    Data in Details.

    Thanks

Is this in a query, a form, a report?

        This is a Report.
Report displays result from the query.
In reality yes – this date 1/15/2008 is valid as a StatusDate.
However for the readability purposes it makes more sense to show last status only for tha last stage of the interview.

Is the solution in changing a query?

You can use Format | Conditional Formatting to set the font color of laststatusdate to white if the interviewdate is less than laststatusdate.
