Using XP SP2 with IE 6 SP2 I am looking for the registry location for the toggle that controls the “Do not save encrypted pages to disk”.

    Thanks.

It’s the value named DisableCachingOfSSLPages under the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet Settings. If it is 0, caching of encrypted pages is enabled, and if it is 1, caching is disabled.

Thanks. We got it working by toggling the setting using the “advertised program” that we use in our locked down environment. I had the client run this script which runs with elevated rights but it was not working. I had her run it after confirming the status of the check box for “do not save”…. then try her web page downloads again. So after running the script twice it was toggled correctly but I could not find my notes on the registry setting which would have enabled me to confirm status the first time.
