Is there a report (or some other mechanism) within MS Project that can contain a description of all the customizations made to an mpp file (customized fields, views, tables, filters, etc) to show the definitions of the customized objects, much like a DBA can output the structure of a database for documentation purposes. Right now we are keeping track of all our customization in an Excel spreadsheet. It would be nice if the tool could print this out in a handy report that we can use during training sessions and the like.

    Thanks!

I don’t know of any documentor feature that comes with Project in any version. Typical convention for customization is to create new named objects as custom objects in the alternative to changing the objects that come with the software. Using all Capital letters in custom item names makes it easy to see which items are user defined and which came with the software.
