For some odd reason a document is resorting to letter papersize setup in Word yet the user saved the document in RTF format.
I would like to know as why the setiup resorts to letter setup and not A4 as per the standard Word setup.
see attachment for what l mean with regards to the setup

    Any help would be appreciated.

Has your printer been set to A4 as default? You can check this in the Printers and Faxes control panel – right-click the printer and select Properties. Next, click Printing Preferences… and activate the Device Settings tab.

Grasping at straws here: does it help if you clear the check box “Allow A4/Letter paper resizing” in the Print tab of Tools | Options…?

From what documents l have tested so far it appears to work.
I will inform you if l have any further problems.

The problem with the Word documents resorting to letter setup still persists, any ideas as to what else l could try?

I’m not clear from your original post on this. You create a new document, either blank or from a template, and it is properly shows that it is in A4 size. Then the document is saved to RTF format and then re-opened in Word and now it is letter size? That’s strange, but I don’t know anything about RTF that would help with that scenario.

This question is more than covered in jj1234’s posts post 563,332 and post 563,333 as they all seem to stem from the same symptoms.

              This is the scenerio:

An email is saved in RTF format , then this text is imported into a Word document.
For some reason this document then resorts to Letter setup and not A4.

Discussion has continued elsewhere (see above), so this thread is locked too. No point in posting three separate threads about the same problem.
