    What I don’t understand, with the attached Query1 query, is that the top three rows of its output display SCRM in the Utente column in spite of the fact I’ve set
    ORDER BY Mag.SerialNumber, Mag.Visto DESC , Mag.Rich DESC , Centri.Nome;
    Why doesn’t the Utente column follow the sort order?

      Although the Rich field (labeled Utente) displays the UserName field from the Utenti table, it is a number field that is linked to the Room ID field in Utenti. So you’re actually sorting on this number field. You can add the UserName field to the query and sort on that instead.
      SCRM will still be listed first because you sort descending.

        Thank you Hans, can you please try and open the attached Query1 Report, which is based on the same data?
        I get the message that the record source of the report doesn’t exist.

          The row source of the UnMis combo box refers to something that doesn’t exist.

            Thank you Hans, why does the Query1x query sorts correctly by UserName while the Query1 report(which is based on Query1x) doesn’t?

              The sort of the report is based on Rich and not on UserName, like Hans explained in [post=”767228″]Post 767228[/post].
              A report take his sort from the Sort and Grouping window and not from the recordsource.
              In the Sort and Grouping wondow replace Rich by UserName
