Is there a command line for accessing startup/boot config files in XP home?

Not sure what you are referring to by “startup/boot config files” – there is no true AUTOEXEC.BAT, or CONFIG.SYS, per se. About the only file that you can edit is the BOOT.INI file – but use extreme caution, because if you foul it up, your system won’t boot. You’re doubly hosed if it lives on an NTFS partition that you can’t boot to with a floppy drive.

For most of your startup needs, MSCONFIG should do everything you need and then some.

Thanks Mark, that was exactly what I was looking for.
