I am looking for a replacement for Fileware’s “cmdsync” and “FileSync” applications
The Cmdsync application is great in that works much like Xcopy, except it has a flag the allows the deletion of file to do not exist on the destination location.
But neither work under the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and the Fileware company no longer appears to exist. I have tried several windows based replacements for the File ware application but none work as well. But more importantly I can not find anything to replace the cmdsync app.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

See if Technet – RichCopy or Technet – Robocopy will work for you. NOTE: Robocopy is builtin to Windows 7.

I’m a fan of XXCOPY, from xxcopy.com. It does work on 64-bit Win 7.
It’s got a couple of advantages over Robocopy – see http://xxcopy.com/xxtb_030.htm.

That comparison was done in 2002, and doesn’t even mention Vista (but that’s no bad thing…)!

Ken really needs to do this comparison against the version of Robocopy in Windows 7, which has several enhancements over the XP010 version.
