    Hi folks,

    Need some help / advice.

Had a browser issue (still have) where “a web page is slowing down your browser…) and one of the most recommended fixes was to update Video Drivers. SO I went to Lenovo Vantage figuring they have the best for my specific computer. Its a P51S, Nvidia Quadro M520, etc.

While there checked other drivers. SO I updated only 3:

    Nvidia
    Intel Graphics
    Bluetooth Driver

All seemed to go well though it did not fix my problem. BUT…

Today I get 4 of these a minute:

    Log Name: Application
    Source: Windows Error Reporting
    Date: 3/21/2022 11:00:33 AM
    Event ID: 1001
    Task Category: None
    Level: Information

    Computer: Winten-P51S
    Description:
    Fault bucket , type 0
    Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
    Response: Not available
    Cab Id: 0

    Problem signature:
    P1: ffab
    P2: 3
    P3: ffffcb8f9d55f2f0
    P4: d20
    P5: 0
    P6: 10_0_19044
    P7: 0_0
    P8: 256_1
    P9:
    P10:

    Attached files:
    \\?\C:\WINDOWS\LiveKernelReports\IBTUSB\IBTUSB-20220321-1100.dmp
    \\?\C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\WER-2312218-0.sysdata.xml
    \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER55D6.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
    \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER55E7.tmp.xml
    \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER574B.tmp.csv
    \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER575C.tmp.txt

Additionally, I happened to look in my shortcuts to the action center and Bluetooth was missing. So I am assuming its a Bluetooth driver issue?

Lenovo Vantage shows no new driver. Bu the Lenovo driver page does though mentions nothing new but security fixes.

I can also either roll back in Device Manager, or delete in device manager.

Unsure how best to proceed??? (also possible it is a usb error, not bluetooth, but…?)

I ALSO get 3 of these just before each WER:

    Log Name: Application
    Source: NVWMI
    Date: 3/21/2022 11:12:18 AM
    Event ID: 3
    Task Category: (1)
    Level: Information
    Keywords: Classic
    User: N/A
    Computer: Winten-P51S
    Description:
    [tid = 0x1DB8, pid = 0x1DB4] – NV GPUs detected

SO maybe its the NVIDIA driver??

How should I proceed most safely?

    Thanks!

Fixed. Bad Bluetooth driver from Lenovo. Rolled back and all good except might be missing the latest security updates.

      But this begs the question:

I had at least three ways to attempt to fix this. Which would have been best and why?

      1. Rollback the driver (which I did)
      2. Update the driver at the Manufacturer’s Site (Lenovo)
      3. Update the driver from the device manufacturer (Intel)

I chose 1 because I was worried if choosing 2 or 3 I might not be able to rollback to the desired previous driver, and only to the one not functioning properly.

      Thoughts?

Well, I guess we exhausted that subject.

The answer is always “whatever fixes the issue”.

Is there a newer BT driver to test?

      cheers, Paul
