    It isn’t a sky-is-falling problem, but the folks at Dropbox definitely need to take a look at what they’re doing and make it more secure. See my InfoW

      Hi Woody,
      That link is a Microsoft update article, not a blog post!

      Hi Woody, your link points to http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS11-034.mspx

      Not your InfoWorld Tech Watch blog.

      All the best,

      Brian

      Hi Woody!
      When I clicked to read your InfoWorld Tech Watch blog entry, I couldn’t view it: instead I arrived at the page for Microsoft Security Bulletin MS11-034. I’m very interested in learning about any Dropbox potential security problem, because our small non-profit ministry uses Dropbox, and we have ALL our files on it. I’m the bookkeeper/office manager, half of a total staff of 2. If there’s a serious problem, I’d like to be able to alert my boss so he can react properly.
      Thanks for all your work to keep us informed and safe.
      Julie Hall

      woody —

      That wrong link was the same one you gave me for my question about the kernel driver patch. So this was partly my fault for asking the question. It’s fixed now.

      @Julie –

      I still use Dropbox. It’s just that you need to be aware of the fact that it isn’t perfect.

      Woody, here is an explanation of their update to the TOS that has a few more feeling unsafe. I don’t think it’s such a big deal but, I wouldn’t put files I don’t want the Police to see on there either. (not that I have any).
