Dynamic Ranges (2003)

I have a workbook that allows the user to select from a drop down and then charts the result. This is a monthly file, meaning that every month I have to change the various ranges.
I am trying to use dynamic ranges and am failing! Attached is a stripped down version that uses dynamic ranges for the database and the criteria but leaves the range names for extract static.

I cannot see the forrest for the trees at this point. What am I doing wrong?

Any help is appreciated.

Can you explain how you would want the extract range to be dynamic?

BTW, your criteria range name is invalid, it uses OFFFSET instead of OFFSET.

Thanks, Hans. I have fixed the offfset typo but it still does not work.
I want the extract range to work like the database and the criteria range. Potentially using 13 columns. BTW, the macro attached to the button should be FilterPU and not FilterPUOld.

There are several problems with the workbook and the defined names.
– The name of the first sheet is ' Chart Data' with a space before Chart.
– You have hidden data in rows 66 – 83.
– You have data in row 86.

Try cleaning up the workbook before continuing.

I have decided that the only way to handle this issue is to use a dynamic range for the database, a static one for the criteria and use vba to create the extract range and the range for the chart. That has worked like a charm.
