Once again I’ve searched Excel help and MSKB with no luck. I have a workbook in which I’ve created a custom toolbar and macros. I attached the toolbar using the Toolbars |Customize |Attach command and saved the file. When I e-mailed the file as an attachment via Outlook, the custom toolbar didn’t go with the file. Am I misunderstanding the Attach command? What should I do or not do or do differently? Thanks a lot.

The custom tool bars are not kept in the .xls file, they are kept in a .xlb file. however, if you mail your .xlb file to someone else, the customizations you made will overide any customizations that the person receiving the file has made to their system. You would also need an install procedure to replace their .xlb file with yours.

What is usually a better idea is to use the workbook open event routine to create the customizations and then remove them in the workbook close event routine so you leave the other user’s system the way it was.
