User’s Outlook 2003 doesn’t open embedded URLs in email but does open his My Documents folder. Anyone ever see this behavior? The OS is XP Pro SP2.
TIA,
Jester

This could be a problem with the file associations in the Registry (accessible via Windows Explorer, Tools>Folder Options…, File Types tab).
Does the user have Firefox 2.0 set as the default browser? Try the Other Browsers board, and look for threads discussing “locate link browser” for more information.
Not sure about potential IE issues with links.
I believe there is a way to coax IE into rewriting the Registry details for how to handle http links. Perhaps that would help.
You also might look at the source code of the problem messages and see whether the links have been “blocked” — either intentionally through security settings/software or unintentionally through bad authoring. Here’s an example that might or might not relate to the present situation: BLOCKED::Outbind:// Hyperlink (Outlook 2003).
