Hi
I have Windows 8.1 Update Enterprise 64-bit.
I noticed that, in the “Change Action Center settings” window, the “Windows Backup” item is disabled. How come? How do I enable it?
Thanks
Bye

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I found no answer on my question. How come?

From what I understand, with Win 8/8.1 you use File History to back up your files.
If it isn’t turned on then this article may help http://www.7tutorials.com/introducing-windows-8-how-backup-data-file-history
Edit – Have a look at your “Starting Apps” thread.

I tried to turn on “File History” function but the “Windows Backup” item is always gray and marked. How come?

If you read the link I’ve put in your other thread http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread//163035-Enabling-quot-Startup-Apps-quot-option-in-the-quot-Change-Action-Center-settings-quot-window you need to log in as an administrator for the Startup Apps as they will remain greyed out as well without admin rights, so it seems feasible that the same would apply to the Windows Backup option.
