Hi, long term (20 year+) tested code produces an error 4605 inconsistently, when run in VBA it runs fine but when used on an actual Word Document the error is produces 60% of the time and only on a set of computers, not all.  Is it environmental?

It is, it’s a working document that is based off a macro enabled .dotm and only one of the Marcos throws the error.

Some functions like selecting, copying and pasting can be tricky.
Do you let your macro display what its doing, or is everything “happening on the background”?

the error is produces 60% of the time and only on a set of computers, not all.

It seems like happening on some computers only. There must be something “wrong/different” on those computers.

During which operation it crashes? If error appears, click debug and see, what line its on.

      WSVenice20,

More information is necessary to diagnose your problem otherwise we’re just guessing.

      • What version of Windows and are all machines the same?
      • Is Windows running as User or Admin?
      • What version of Word and are all machines the same?
      • Is the code run from a central source or loaded on each machine?
      • Exactly what error message is displayed?
      • What of code that causes the error?
      • Most important could you post the code?

That particular error can occur when you try to copy & paste content within a table. See, for example: Error 4605 while trying to copy and paste with same document (msofficeforums.com) and the answer given there.
