Each time I run the Error Checking function from the Properties / Tools tab for my hard drives with the Fix Errors option selected. The system does the basic check and then sets the flag for a full check on the next reboot. I reboot and the check proceeds and ends with no errors found, But it this point is hangs up. I have left it sitting for over and hour at this completed point but it never comes back to life and when I reboot it starts all over again. Yes it will allow me to abort the check on startup, but this is a problem on every reboot. My onl;y option so far has been to restore the drive from a Ghost backup done before I ran the Error Check. This has occurred on two separate desktops and also my notebook. Any suggestions….
