I appear to be getting an error in Access.

    See attachment.
Any ideas as to what it means?

    Justin.

What do you mean by “I appear to be getting an error” – do you get an error or not?

It means Update or CancelUpdate without AddNew or Edit sigh

As so often, just posting a screenshot doesn’t tell us where and when this occurs.

This appears to be fine now for some odd reason.
My apologise Hans l will be more specific in future.

        Justin.

This is an error you only see when your code is misbehaving, when you have attempted to modify a recordset and either the .AddNew or .Edit instruction is missing or your code is structured in such a way that the code can no longer find it. Without seeing the code involved, it is impossible to suggest a resolution.

        Thanks for your help.

For some odd reason it appears to be ok now.

It would be better to first make an attempt to figure out where and why you received an error message before you post a question here. If you include the information, we can help you figure out how to fix it, and then the solution will be here in the boards and available to others in the same situation. Just posting an “I got one” and then “it’s gone now” helps no one. Did you fix a problem? If so tell us how. That might be useful to someone else.
