Error message change data (A97)

When attempting to run a report which has a straight forward query the program comes up with the following error, even though I am the only user:

The Microsoft Jet Database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

This also happens in a form when using Ctrl F to do a search, it seems to happens when you start the search.

It usually means that the database has corrupt data, most likely in a memo field. See MSKB Article 182867:

You were right, it was a corrupt memo field.
It was simple enough to fix, we had to delete the records concerned after printing them out so we could re-input them.
