After installing June 2019 security updates, the Event Viewer crashes in all Windows versions. Microsoft has confirmed that bug and plans a fix for End of June 2019. Until that fix arrived, users can’t use custom views in Event Viewer.

I’ve written an article, that outlines how to use the PowerShell fragment realeased from Microsoft as a workaround,. And I outline how to use Event Viewer and also execute custom views with a modified PowerShell script (downloadable from my site). Maybe helpful for admins, until Microsoft fixes the bug.
