Excel 2013 – so slow to open!

Is it just me, or are others using Excel 2013 experiencing this lag? I have a 4th Gen i7 processor with 12 GB of RAM. If I have an Excel 2013 workbook open and go to open a second one, it can take close to 1 minute to launch the second instance and display the second workbook. Both are small files – <30KB in size. My virus checkers come up clean.

Any ideas?

I don’t experience anything similar to that. Second file is always much faster.

OK – I’m a dork – ha ha. I was pulling two docs down from SkyDrive (although usually fairly quick, this was a bottleneck today). Once they are on the hard drive, they popped right open as I expected.

Yes, that would seem to be something possible with SkyDrive documents, though even that may vary, but I am glad you discovered why that was happening with you.
