    Hello Everyone,

I am having this weird problem with Excel 2003. When I am working on an excel document and leave to do something, the document and excel shut down by themselves. I come back and have to start over again. I also have this problem with Word 2003 too. Any ideas. This is running on PC with windows XP, service pack 3. Thanks.

When you leave to do something does your mate close your file when you’re not looking?

I wish. This problem actually occurs to a coworker. I sit right accross her so I would know if someone comes in and works on her computer.

      Are macros enabled?
Does it shut down the same length of time after it’s been open?
It’s possible that an Autorun macro which shuts everything down after a certain length of time has been inserted into the Word/Excel templates. Hit Alt-F8 from either Word or Excel to see if there are any macros that appear.
