I am trying to use an existing spreadsheet in a presentation. I need to be able to edit the spreadsheet while in the slideshow mode.
I have tried- copy and paste, file- import Microsoft object, import a file with and without linking, All I get is a representation of the spreadsheet but am not able to manipulate data. I can use the spreadsheet while in the design mode but not in the presentation mode. Is this possible or am I spinning my wheels?

You can do the following, but it may not be what you want:
      – Switch to Normal view.
      – Right-click the Excel worksheet object.
      – Select Action Settings… from the popup menu.
      – Activate the Mouse Click tab (if necessary).
      – Click the Object Action radio button.
      – Select an action (Edit and Open seem to do more or less the same when in presentation mode).
      – Click OK.

Thanks Hans. That does allow editing of the Excel file. I was hoping that it would open in the slide instead of opening Excel. If that is the only way … so be it.

I don’t think that it’s possible to edit a worksheet in the slide itself while in presentation mode.
