Excel Form Stopped Working Properly

Hi Experts,

I have been busy working on a project and haven’t used Excel for a few months. Last night I opened an Excel 365 file that worked flawlessly two months ago. Now it is not working like it should.

Everything opens OK, but when I click a command button or option button on a form not all of the data on the form shows unless I click and move the form. When I click and move the form all the data pops up. I’ve never seen this kind of problem before. To check if the Excel file had a problem, I opened it on another computer and it works perfectly.

I am using Windows 8.1. My guess is that the problem is in Windows 8.1. However, everything works normally except for the Excel form problem as described above.

I ran the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) and it didn’t show any integrity problems.

I thought I would run this by you pros to see if you’ve dealt with this kind of problem.

There were a few bugs with forms introduced in the September updates, but the latest release should fix them. Have you tried updating your Office installation? Which build do you have?

7369.2054 has the fixes in. Did you try to update?

to do it manually:

cd %programfiles%Common FilesMicrosoft SharedClickToRun

officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.7369.2054

I now have .2054 after updating. I tested it and it looks like the problem is solved!

I paid for another year of 365 last week and thought it updated at that time. Apparently, it didn’t, at least to .2054.
