I have just done a complete clean re-install of my entire system, Win 7 Pro (64-bit), MS Office Pro 2010.
One point that is causing problems is the Excel 2010 formula composing wizard. Previously, this allowed me to insert the values, ranges, etc. and it would insert the required commas between the arguments, and the formula would calculate correctly.
Now, I find that the wizard returns “You’ve entered too few arguments for this function”. If I try to insert the comma myself, it returns “The formula you typed contains an error”, and the comma that I have inserted shows in one of the wizard fields. I have tried several different functions, PMT, PV, and other financial functions, SUBTOTAL, and it seems to affect all of them.
What could I have done wrong in the re-install?
