    Excel 97, 2K, wich ever you want. Pentium III, 256Mb Ram, 8Gb HD, Windows NT4, with all the patches applied. when I try to open some files, say 8 (very large) linked files addind up to 32Mb, the system freezes up, and gives me an error (don’t remember wich one), but when I do the same operation wiht Excel 95, it opens all the files with no effort.
    What can be wrong? Am I eternally chained to Excel 95 for life?
