Is there any way to export a report to Word97 from Access97 so that the fields that are checkboxes (both checked and unchecked) remain unchanged during the transfer ? The standard ‘publish it with Word’ drops the checkboxes altogether.

This may not be very elegant, but I’ve used it and it does work. Create TEXT boxes in the report to reflect the value of the Check Boxes i.e. in the Control Source enter something along the lines of =IIf([chkmycheck],”*”,””). Text boxes will export to Word. I used asterisk in this example, but there is a check mark available in Wingding Font, (can’t remember what it is). Hope that helps.

Something like that is probably the only way to do this using the ‘publish to Word’ feature. Unfortunately, the rtf file created when publishing to Word drops all graphics, including checkboxes.
