Hi, I am getting on fairly well migratinng from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 365, but have hit a snag with migrating Contacts.

When I try and Export from 2010, “Sugested contacts” comes up in the list of folders I can export (as a .csv) but not my “Contacts”.

How can I export my contacts when they donn’t show up in the list.

    Thanks

    Martin

Have you looked at all branches of the tree?

In Outlook 2010 the contacts are stored in the same data file as your emails (.pst). You can have Outlook 2010 extract and export your contacts in a separate CSV file from the Mail export. The instructions for this are at this WikiHow web site:

How to Export Contacts from Outlook 2010

You can also copy the your Outlook .pst file and move it so you can access the file directly from Outlook 365.

Side note: You can open and edit the csv file in Excel.
