FF 1.5.0.3 abends (ff 1.5.0.3)

I have been running FF for over 2 years and have had relatively few problems, but 1.5.0.3 is really flaky. I get 2 or 3 “opportunities” a day to send in error reports – I always send them in, but never hear anything back.

Seem to have a lot of problems with Yahoo mail and also with Agent 3.3

Is this just me or are others seeing similar problems?

I’ve had a few problems with the Yahoo Mail Beta, but nothing at all with the standard Yahoo Mail. Other than that, I’ve not had any issues with 1.5.0.3 on either my WindowsXP or linux intallations.

Did you perform a clean install, or an upgrade over the previous version?

I have always upgraded – with no major problems. I am not running the yahoo mail beta. I run win2K with all fixes applied

I allowed Firefox to upgrade me to 1.5.0.3 and haven’t had any problems that I’m aware of on my XP SP2 installation. I don’t think I’ve seen much crying about it but then again, I don’t visit the Firefox boards or much beyond The Lounge for that matter. Sorry I don’t have any recommendations for you except maybe to uninstall and try afresh.

No, it’s not “just you”. I also have many error reports in Mozilla’s In-Box. Don’t expect any replies – that’s not what the error reporting is for. My 1.5.0.3 Firefox will suddenly freeze/lock with very little activity common between the crashes. When I watch in Task Manager, it begins to consume more and more memory, but the browser window will not close, even on clicking on the red X in the corner. I need to cancel it in task manager’s Processes tab.

I’m just waitig patiently, unless someone else can tell me how to troubleshoot it.

I renamed the npYState.dll in the Yahoo! shared directory – just have to see if that was the problem –
