AskWoody LoungerMarch 18, 2018 at 6:04 pm #176766Looking forward to the new phase of AW! I will be making a huge Amazon purchase at the beginning of next month as well, but at least I can shoot a few bucks your way every month at least VIA that method. Keep up the good work, Woody!
By the way, I always assumed your last name was pronounced differently. Like, “Lee-on-ard” or something. No wonder people spell it wrong. I guess you can’t blame them too much, right? lol

AskWoody MVPMarch 18, 2018 at 7:36 pm #176779I have hard copies of each of your “For Dummies” since XP. I like having a reference I can put hands on without relying on an internet connection, or even electricity… sometimes that is when you need them most. I have learned an incredible amount about how to set up, configure and use my PCs, whether I go step by step for doing one thing, or look at the big picture. Those books save me hours of searching, because I can reference it quickly, and know that Woody has never steered me wrong. That XP book is more than a little dog-eared at this point… but since I still have an XP desktop off line, it is still useful (and probably why the XP does what I need it to do. There is so much to know, and switching OS makes it so even familiar things are accessed a little differently. I simply open up the appropriate book, and turn to the appropriate section, and follow step by step instructions…
