Is there a way to learn all the addresses of a particular web site? A friend of mine has setup a treasure hunt and I want to cheat. All those addresses would make figuring out the clues a lot easier.

The way a search engine works is to try every link in a page, and then every link in those pages, and so on, and so on. That’s pretty much the only way to discover the pages on a site without some kind of privileged access. That and Google (site:mysite.com search). grin

If the pages are linked from the main page, the full-up Adobe Acrobat has the capability of making a PDF of the entire site, one page at a time. You can select the number of levels deep, or “All.” I haven’t tried it myself; this info is based on input from a friend of a friend…

I used that feature when I had Acrobat “Business Tools,” a down-market flavor of version 4. A plus was that it could “shrink to fit” when the page design is too wide. A minus was that it didn’t work with sites that wanted to set a cookie. Presumably they have addressed that one by now.

OK, Thanks for the suggestions. I don’t have Acrobat anything but Reader (Work took it away a while back because I only use it twice a day). Guess I will have to figure the clues the old fashioned way.

      Try this site http://www.sitemapdoc.com/%5B/url%5D

It creates a list of links throughout the site and then you can generate an HTML version….very quick and efficient
