I have attempted to install the current version of Flash player recently and it will never install because it says firefox is running.

Firefox is not running, I have (at this point 6 different copies of flash player in my download file) and I am attempting to execute each of them without starting Firefox.

Cannot get past pop-up window saying I must stop Firefox.

I am wondering if this is a conflict between new Firefox release and macromedia flash player.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Evidently Firefox was in the process of updating itself to the new version – once I backed out of everything and rbooted – everything worked out all right.

Anyone need six copies of macromedia flash player install package?
