I got a post from ‘Erik’ via askWoody asking about a replacement for Firefox.

I have not used Firefox for 4 years or so. I switched to Opera and have never looked back.

As great a Opera is, it has some negatives. Having no [Home] button is a real pain. Be sure to get the following Opera Extensions.

    • Homepage – provides a [Home] button
    • uBlock Origin – Ad blocker (the best
    • Tab Suspender – suspend inactive tabs

Tab Suspender is especially important. I typically have 4-5-6 browser windows open, each with 10-12 tabs. This uses a lot of resources. A suspended tab uses no memory.

As much as I hate to admit it, the new (chromium based) Edge is pretty good.
